A recycled pallet is a used pallet that has been inspected, repaired, and returned to service. At BTL, we remove any damaged boards and replace them with quality recycled lumber. The result is a functional pallet at a significantly lower price than new.
How BTL Processes Recycled Pallets
Every day, BTL collects unwanted pallets from businesses across Wisconsin. We bring them back to our Franklin, WI facility and inspect each one. Nothing goes to waste.
If the pallet is repairable:
We remove damaged boards from the top and bottom and replace them with high-quality recycled lumber. We call this a repaired pallet. In most cases, only a few boards need replacement — which keeps labor low and price affordable.
If the pallet is beyond Repair:
We break it down using our pallet dismantling equipment. Any boards or 2x4s that are still in good shape get cut to size and saved as recycled lumber for future repairs and builds.

Where Do Our Recycled Pallets Come From?
BTL picks up unwanted and scrap pallets from manufacturers and businesses throughout Wisconsin every day. Those pallets are brought to our Franklin, WI recycling facility where they're sorted, inspected, and processed.
Pallets that can be repaired go back into inventory. Pallets that can't are broken down and recycled into lumber used in future repairs.
